My Story

Computing has been part of my life since I was a young child. From following algorithms on the back of a cereal box with my dad to adapting my teaching with the developments of technology, it has always been a fascination and interest. Using technology to aid and support learning has driven my journey as a teacher and mother.

Starting my company from an idea whilst on maternity leave, I worked towards making the dream and passion into a reality. Starting small in community centres, nearly four years ago and igniting the passion for technology has driven me to where I am today. Supporting teachers across my region in developing their skills, knowledge and confidence in computing has been one of my proudest moments.
Working as part primary lead for the DfEE National Centre for Computing has really enabled me to reach out and support teachers across my region. After achieving my primary certification I have been supporting teachers in achieving their Primary Certificate for Computing from the BSC National Centre for Computing.
Networking and supporting my local community by leading the CAS Kingston Park and CAS Gateshead West allows me to engage and support a network of teachers. I am an avid supporter in sharing good practise therefore I support Barefoot Computing as an ambassador for their resources and leading training sessions. In addition I am a register facilitator for STEM Learning and a Kapow Ambassador. The key part of these roles are to develop resources and flagship these resources to teachers. Supporting teachers in using the time to develop their confidence and skill set to be able to teach with confidence. Harnessing the power of technology in the classroom and enriching teaching so children have necessary skills to aid them as they move through their learning journey.
